Is the software compatible with all versions of MS Windows and Apple Macs?

The Attix5 Backup Professional Desktop & Laptop software is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

The Attix5 Backup Professional Server Edition (SE) software is compatible with Microsoft Windows server 2000, 2003 and 2008.  Plug-ins exist for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, Oracle and other databases.

Linux versions supported include, Red Hat, Fedora and SUSE.

Is there a minimum systems requirement for my PC?

The minimum requirement is a P100 Processor, 32MB RAM, 500MB free hard drive space (for local cache and temporary files) and 256 colour display.

What is 'Patching' technology?

Attix5 patching allows the identification of changed data at byte level.   Data transfer is reduced by as much as 98% by the proprietary patching technique that compresses and transfers only the changed bytes within the user data set.

What is the suggested Internet connection speed?

The suggested Internet connection speed is broadband 512k or faster. 

How do I calculate my data storage requirement?

The 'Size' button can be clicked at anytime and it will calculate and display the current total size of the backup set.  You can sort this list in size order and right-click on a file to exclude it.
